What is TREK NYC?
Trek NYC is an exciting program offered year-round to Scout units and other groups. Travel around and explore New York City throughout the duration of your trip- visiting the most famous places and sights. Groups spending nights at Alpine Scout Camp just outside of Manhattan. Your trek is customized based on your preferences as you choose your own adventures for each day of your trek.
Where do TREK NYC Groups stay?
Lodging is provided in BSA wall tents with cots orin lean-to sites at Alpine Scout Camp in Alpine, NJ. Cabins and a conference center are also available as camping options.
How Much does trek NYC cost?
The base price of Trek NYC is $190 per person per day. This price includes:
Dining hall experience for two meals each day with the third “brown bag” lunch (other arrangements can be made)
Transportation to and from NYC daily and all transportation fees for the trip (MTA card and equivalent)
Trek NYC bag with subway map, light snacks and bottle of water
Commemorative patch
Choice of commemorative t-shirt
Excursions selected by the unit may have additional costs. GNYC will work through third party vendors to keep these fees as low as possible.
WHERE CAN UNITS GO EACH DAY?
